FEE PROPOSAL
Average Garden Size

Once the initial consultation is concluded, Jim will put together a fee proposal for your approval. A fee proposal is the cost to design a master plan for your garden. Jim estimates the number of hours required to draft the garden concept discussed during the initial consultation.

The fee proposal is accompanied by a letter of engagement. If you are satisfied with the fee proposal you are directed to simply sign the letter of engagement, return it to our office, and the design and drafting process commences.

Large Garden Size
For larger garden sizes, Jim will prepare a landscape concept plan to enable you to gain a clearer perspective of the proposed design before a master plan is completed. It is, essential to allow for feedback and to estimate budgets, ensuring that any amendments can be made prior to the development of the master plan.

Thus, once the initial consultation is concluded, Jim will prepare a fee proposal for the first stage of the design process a hand drawn concept plan. Jim will also outline the design process as shown below for details. As a guide the total landscape design fee will equate to roughly 10% of the total landscape construction cost of your garden. For example a garden costing $100,000 to construct , will have a design fee of approximately $10,000 + GST. If you are satisfied with the fee proposal you are directed to simply sign the letter of engagement, return it to our office, and the design and drafting process commences.
