International Flower & Garden Show 2001 - A Gardener's Garden
This garden focuses on the planting display as the focal point - not the building elements.
This garden room also provides a link between the grand main fountain and the existing lake. The main view of the garden leads the eye down an informal path surrounded by perennial planting, with the lake and park view framed by an oiled timber arbour.
From the other approach the eye is carried to a Milan Timber garden seat positioned under another timber pergola with a rendered wall and ornamentation as the backdrop. The central piece of the garden is the old style sun dial.
The end result is a garden which enhances the existing elements of the park by linking the main fountain with the lake. This is a gardener’s garden, designed for everyone.
