Residential Gardens

One of Australia’s top garden designers, Jim's primary focus is on designing gardens for private clients. These range from small outdoor rooms to large estates. His attention to detail combined with his extensive knowledge of a wide range of plants have seen him much awarded for his work. Jim takes environmental factors into account - incorporating water tanks where possible and using recycled or plantation timbers - with all his design work.

Old Grass Tennis Court
Jim was commissioned to develop a design for the redevelopment of an old grass tennis court for a historic home in country Victoria.
Gardener's Cottage
A fresh update was given by Jim to this 1980s garden, and the shed was rebuilt to look like a little gardener’s cottage.

Jim wanted to keep the colour of the hardscape simple when designing this garden. By mixing colours of white, grey and black, the hard materials form a cool backdrop to the many varied and interesting plants used in the garden.
Ashburton House
Easy access was needed for family requirements in this front garden. Complete with a place to sit and relax and enjoy the space. A simple water feature helps to give a modern look to a 1930's house.
